Selection Procedure






1 . PERMISSION FROM THE PROTECTORATE OF EMIGRANTS:
The documents received from the Employer, are submitted to the Protector of Emigrants Govt. of Bangladesh), for necessary registration / permission.


2 . PRESS ADVERTISEMENT :
Thereafter, the vacancies are advertised through leading National Newspapers, to attract large number of candidates against the demand(s) received.


3 . INTERVIEW CALLS:
On evaluation of the applications received, short listing of the deserving candidates is initiated and call letter issued for provisional interview and trade test etc.


4 . FINAL SELECTION:
The short listed candidates are then required to appear before the selection Board. Thereafter, the selected candidates are put to trade tests. The final rating is done after consideration of the individual’s overall performance.


5 . MEDICAL TEST:
The finally selected candidates are required to appear before the Medical Board comprising of highly competent specialist / doctors for conducting full medical check-up duly approved by the GCC / and the consulate of the employer’s country.


6 . VISA ENDORSEMENT:
On completion of above formalities, Passport of the candidate alongwith all required documents are submitted for visa stamping to the Embassy / Consulate of the country of employment.


GOVERNMENT OF BANGLADESH’S FORMALITIES:


7 . FINAL REGISTRATION OF CANDIDATES
After the visa stamping, the papers are passed on to the Ministry of Labour (Govt. of Bangladesh) Dhaka for final registration of the candidates. This process is normally completed within 24 hours from the time of submission of passports and documents to the authority concerned.


8 . BRIEFING AND ORIENTATION REG: DRUG ABUSE ETC.
A full length briefing is conducted by us and Labour Dept. / Protector of Emigrants (Govt. of Bangladesh) prior to their final registration, so that they must well acquainted with the rules and regulations of the country of employment particularly the strict laws about drug abusing.


9 . DEPLOYMENT OF EMIGRANTS
Finally, immediate arrangements are made for deployment of the emigrant(s) to join their duties with the respective employees.


1) HOW AL-AMAL GOES ABOUT TO MEET THE JOB DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATIONS OF PERSONNEL FOR DEVELOPMENT ABROAD?


Our process for developing labour resources is based on most scientific and refined approach, to meet and cope up with the challenge that arise out of short time and maintenance of highest standard for the selection of quality workers. The procedure adopted for taping up the competent workers is summarized as under:
(a) Press Advertisement :
Advertisement of Principal’s demand with prior permission of the Protector of immigrants (Govt. of Bangladesh) through publication in the leading newspapers in all of the four (4) Provinces of Bangladesh,and preparation of list of the prospective candidates that strictly comply with the conditions of demand and to meet the requirements of the Principals, accordingly.


(b) Data Bank
On reviewing our data bank record, re-contacting the prospective candidates who strictly meet the job description and specification of demand in hand.


(c) Field Staff :
In case of any specialized and specific demands, the search is executed through our field force. As such, we are always in search of suitable and competent workers at various project’s sites – scattered throughout Bangladesh.


TIME REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLETION OF WHOLE PROCEDURE


Estimated (40) days period is required:
1. Confirmation of documents by the Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh- (3) days.
2. Documents to be processed by the Labour Ministry (Govt. of Bangladesh) – (2) days.
3. Arrangements of Press advertisement in the leading National dailies (newspapers) – 7 days.
4. Conducting of interviews – (5) days.
5. Completion of trade tests – (5) days.
6. Completion of Medical tests – (3) days.
7. Submission of documents to saudi Consulate in Bangladesh for Stamping of Visa - Estimated (10) days.
8. Registration / clearance of documents from Labour Ministry Government of Bangladesh. – (2) days
9. Arrangements for confirmation of Flight booking and timely deployment of candidates – Estimated (3) days.
N.B. TIME PERIOD OF (40) FORTY DAYS IS EXCLUDED THE LOCAL HOLIDAYS FALLING DURING THE WEEK(S).

TECHNICAL SCREENING PROCESS

2) SCREENING STAFF – QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE AND SCREENING METHOD – HOW IS IT HANDLED.
We have engaged highly proficient, qualified and most experienced personnel at our Dhaka offices for interviewing and screening of the prospective candidates. Our panel of screening personnel, interviewed the prospective candidates personally at Dhaka offices. The short listed candidates are put to trade test trial, the same day in the afternoon. Under the direct supervision of our screening staff. Besides we arrange the final screening of the short listed candidates at most reputed and approved Govt. Tech. Institutions in order to meet the requirements of a demand, effectively


HOW THE SCREENING ENGINEER WILL RANK QUALIFIED CANDIDATES INTO DIFFERENT LEVEL OF COMPENTENCY (SKILL,EXPERIENCE ETC.):
Our panel of screening staff, under the direct supervision and guidance of Mr.Ehsan kabir (Proprietor/ Chief Executive), evaluate the competency of each and every candidates, rating them individually on the basis of their trade test reports and overall professional experience and skill etc.


3 TIME REQUIRED FOR SCREENING OF CANDIDATES & SHORT LISTNING.
Normally our screening staff can test / conduct interview and screening of 50-60 candidates per day. In case,, the Trade test trials are conducted at long distance project sites or the candidates are required to be tested for some sophisticated type of trade tests, the number may be reduced to 30-40 numbers of candidates per day. In short, the screening staff can screen upto 250 nos. candidates in a week.


4 CREDENTIALS VERIFICATION AND REFERENCE CHECKING
We take ulmost care to check and verify the character and credential of each and every candidate individually prior to making their final selection. As such, we refer only those short listed candidates to our valued patrons for final approval who fulfill all the requirements.


5 FEEDBACK AND COMMUNICATION WITH THE PRINCIPAL’S CONCERNING THEIR JOB REQUIREMENTS.
We adopt the most effective and rapid Feedback Communication System, that for providing up-to-date information regarding principal’s demand. We always offer expeditious services to our valued Principals in connection with the quality selection and recruitment of workers for which, both of our Dhaka offices are equipped with the in house Telex and Fax facilities, and these offices are also connected the world over through E-Mail and Internet Systems.


6 AL-AMAL’s ABILITY TO CONDUCT FINAL SELECTION OF THE REQUIRED CANDIDATES WITHOUT FURTHER INTERVIEW BY THE PRINCIPALS
